TA Billing Topics

I am on the Diamond Plan when will my bill be due each month?

Every Diamond Plan member bill is due on the 15th of each month. Invoices go out on the 1st of each month. You will receive reminders leading up to the 15th of each month.

What are the penalties if I am late?

If you are late on a plan monthly fee there is a late fee of $25 after 3 days. After 10 days the contract will be terminated. If you are late on an add-on such as insurance the fee is $15 after 3 days. After 10 days you will lose coverage. If you are late on a payment plan for additional services such as website building the fee is $25 per week. After 4 weeks anything we have started will be deleted and to restart we will require additional payment at the manager's discretion. If at any time an agent owes our agency money after 60 days we will refer them to our collection agencies which will then either result in them paying through them and if not the agent will be reported to the credit bureaus to file on their credit and eventually end in going to court in which the agent will be fully responsible for court fees etc... If you are on the Diamond Plan and late for two consecutive months you will not receive the seasons' Agent Branding Kit for your monthly fee covers the cost of the kit. If you are constantly late the RDE team reserves the right to object to renewing your contract when your contract is either terminated or expired (up for renewal)

How will I be billed?

You will be billed via invoice

Can I get an extension?

Yes, you can get an extension we must be notified by the 10th of the month to allow us time to make the adjustment on your account to keep you from receiving the late fee or possible termination. 

How long is the extension?

15 days

Do you accept cash?

Not at this time we only accept credit and debit cards, Zelle, or Cashapp

How often am I billed?

You are billed once a month on the first of each month and it's due on the 15th of each month

What happens if my contract is terminated?

You will be billed an early termination fee of $150. To reactive your contract prior to 30 days of expiration, there is a $100 fee. After 30 days you will have to do the application process over and it is up to the RDE team to reactive your contract or terminate your contract indefinitely.

Can I change travel managers?

Yes, you can just make sure your account is fully resolved and the travel manager is an active manager. If the travel manager is not active when you choose to switch to that manager then you and that manager both risk being terminated from RDE and its partnerships. An active travel manager is a manager that is not only active within the organization but is also caught up on their personal billing with RDE.

Am I liable to provide my own insurance?

Yes, you are. RDE gives its agents 60 days to obtain the proper E&O insurance.

 

Travel Agent Topics

How do I become an agent?

You will look in our store and choose the package that best suits you and click sign up and follow the instruction until you have paid and submitted payment. After submitting payment you will receive your Travel Agent contract and Welcome email within 24 business hours.

Will I be working as a Royal Dream Enterprises employee if I sign up as a travel agent?

No, you will be an independent contractor. You will own your own business we only supply you with access to the vendors without the expensive startup cost.

How long does my contract last?

All of our contracts last one year.

As an agent will I be required to attend the annual retreat?

No, you are not required to attend. 

Besides the setup fee and the yearly or monthly fee, are there any other charges I should be aware of?

We won't charge you any other fees. We do suggest to all our agents to sign up for Zoho One (please refer to https://www.zoho.com/one/plan-details)  and we do offer a list of optional services that may be of interest to our agents (please refer to our store). 

When can I start to make bookings?

As soon as you complete the New Agent Orientation, become a legal entity, have contracts in place, and obtain business insurance you can begin making bookings.

Can I get A website?

RDE does not provide a website. However, you are welcome to build your own with sites like Zoho( we recommend),  Wix, GoDaddy, or Weebly, or to work with a web designer to build it for you. This is your business, and the choice is yours! Having a web presence is very important, but it is not going to do the work for you. Selling travel involves so much more than just the transaction itself. Your job will be to make sure you find the right match for your clients by qualifying them for the right destination and product. Your website would be to promote you, your branding, your niche, or your specialty. The best website will reflect your agency's personality so that your ideal customer can locate you online and then contact you to receive personalized attention.

Will I be able to get travel agent discounts?

‌Agents must be affiliated with RDE for at least 6 months and actively selling before we will grant approval to participate in a FAM trip we have to put our name stamp on or use our agency ID information for the purpose of taking advantage of discounted travel. To qualify for a CLIA card you have to be an agent for 3 months and booked 5 trips or took 20 trainings on any training platform. Note that many supplier-offered industry discounts require the agent to hold an industry-issued card such as IATA or CLIA. Please refer to these organizations directly for information on agent qualification and enrollment.

How many hours do I have to work?

It is YOUR business and you get to choose when you work. It is expected that you are checking your email and logging on to the agent website regularly. When clients are traveling, you are on call 24/7. RDE does not have an 800 line for your clients to call in an emergency. However, many of our suppliers do have that option. You need to be available for your clients should they run into any problems while traveling.

When will I get paid for bookings?

Commissions are paid on Tuesday after it is received from the vendor excluding holidays.

What is a commission split?

Here at RDE, our agents make 85-100% of their commissions on any bookings for instance if you booked a trip that cost your client $549 and the vendor is paying you 18% of the cost this means your commission on this is $98.82 for this booking. Now we get to split it if this vendor is a Tier 1 vendor and its an 85/15 split you will receive 85% of $98.82 which is $83.99 and we will keep $14.83.
